Our Pastor

Pastor Randy Reams was raised in a pastor's home along with his three brothers. He received his call to ministry in 1983 ten months after marrying his high school sweetheart, Kimberlee. He responded to God's call and enrolled in Bible college. Pastor Randy studied pastoral ministries and received an Associates degree from Northwest University (NU).Several years later he earned a bachelor's degree in business as well as master's degree in business administration from Northwest Nazarene University (NNU).

Pastor Randy has been in active pastoral ministry since 1988. He, like many young pastors, began his ministry as a youth pastor. God promises His children that if they are faithful with the responsibility He gives us, He will bless with more opportunities. As Pastor Randy showed himself faithful and as he gained experience, God promoted him.

In 1992, Pastor Dwain Palser, a senior minister in Nampa, invited Pastor Randy to come to Idaho and take a position as his Associate Pastor. Responding to this invitation and God’s divine plan, Pastor Randy and his family left Washington and came to Idaho. They have ministered in the treasure valley every since.

Pastor Randy and his wife Kimberlee have five children, ranging from 2 to 22 years old. They strongly believe in the divine design of the Christian family. They know that it is the basis for all Godly societies. Their ministry emphasizes the importance of strong family ties and parental responsibility.

Pastor Randy’s vision is to build a ministry based on relationships where everyone, whether single, married or divorced, are included in the “Family of Faith” where each person knows they are part of a “family” that cares for each other and encourages them to pursue their God given destiny.

Pastor Randy and Kimberlee know how difficult it is to raise a family today. They have a call to minister to families as they face issues of daily life; to assist them by providing a place where families worship together; a place where families are not segregated by age and in an environment where families are encouraged to stick together through hard times as well as good times. This vision can be seen every Sunday morning as children, teenagers and adults all worship together.

Pastor Randy is a person that is energized by people. He has a true servant’s heart and is a shepherd to those God has honored him to serve. He is actively involved in the lives of the families at New Heart Community Fellowship. For Pastor Randy, there is no greater call than to build relationships with others by encouraging and assisting them to discover and fulfill their God ordained call and purpose. Pastor Randy is authentic and transparent in his teaching, knowing that true relationships are built on openness and honesty.

While Pastor Randy understands that it is vital to serve the church, he also realizes the importance of getting outside its' four walls. He donates some of his time to coach sports at Nampa Christian High School and as president of Phi Delta Lambda (PDL), a scholastic honor society at NNU. PDL helps students finish their education by raising funds and giving those funds in the form of scholarships to senior students in need.

Above all else, Pastor Randy trusts in the authority and authenticity of the Bible. He believes it is the standard for all things. He teaches that the Bible declares absolutes regarding morality and rejects attempts to legislate the Christian life through human rules, especially rules that apply to gray areas. He focuses on the essentials of orthodox Christianity while being culturally relevant.

To sum it all up, Pastor Randy is a person you can relate to.
